Friday was a wonderful reminder of the power of community and compassion as we gathered for a fantastic workshop with Dementia Friendly Gympie.

The session was filled with insightful conversations, valuable information, and—most importantly—heartfelt stories shared by guest speakers with lived experience. Hearing directly from those navigating life with dementia, along with their families, gave us all a much deeper understanding of how we can offer meaningful support.
From small acts of kindness to creating environments where everyone feels safe and included, today’s workshop reinforced that every person counts in a community. Whether it’s raising awareness, lending a helping hand, or simply showing patience and understanding, we can all play a part in making our community more dementia-friendly.

Join us next time! Together we can reshape the impact of dementia.
